BECOMING THE BEST VERSION OF YOU
"Take it one day at a time. Trust and believe. Take it slow, do not get ego involved. Be fearless. Don’t over think it. Look forward to the hurt. Stay focused and remain faithful through life’s ups and downs. Find purpose again. Be willing to let new ideas and new people change your life for the better. Remember you are doing this because you love it, to test your limits, and to become the best version of yourself.”
I came across these encouraging words from a journal entry professional runner Ayla Granados posted on her Instagram. I immediately identified with so many of the statements as an independent photographer.
Drawing from the many words of inspiration given to her from her former coaches and other runners she admires, her journal expresses her struggle and the kind of success she is aimed at. No one is telling her to do this. No one controls her steps. It comes from within.
“I run to explore my potential, test my limits, learn how to overcome obstacles. There’s a weird satisfaction I get from pushing my body past limits that most people think are impossible I do it to become the best version of myself.”
