I love capturing the heart of what drives someone, to see what they love to do. Some might call it their art, others their profession or craft. It can unfold in a quiet moment of a child’s imaginative play or a someone completing the most routine task. Both are committed to one thing: the joy of doing what they love. This is what I want to be around, ask questions of, focus my camera on. This is what inspires me to do what I love, being a photographer.
I'm a San Francisco Bay Area native and have been at this craft for over 20 years. I started out as a newspaper photojournalist but now use those skills of story-telling and human connection for branding and advertising clients all across the nation.
I recently did an interview with a fellow photographer Alex Gagne. We discuss how I got started in the business and my approach to working with clients.
