Photography for me has always been about connecting, connecting with others and the experiences they are having, and then visually communicating it.
As a former newspaper photojournalist, I am hard-wired to look for that decisive moment that can tell a story, carry a feeling, or ask a question. My creative impulse is not about projecting my ideas onto the subject but rather looking for ways to capture their voice instead. This type of photography creates unique and authentic imagery that is constantly driving me to look further and work harder.
